Terms of service
Status: living document. These terms govern the kirimana.io website + the Kirimana early-access programme during Private Preview. Last updated: 26 April 2026.
What you’re agreeing to
By using kirimana.io or signing up for the early-access programme, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
The website + the product
The kirimana.io website is the marketing, community, and knowledge-base surface for the Kirimana project. The Kirimana product is open-source software released under Apache License 2.0.
These terms cover the website only. The Apache-2.0 license covers the product.
During Private Preview
We’re in Private Preview. That means:
- The product is invite-only. Sign-up is gated by the early-access form. We review every request.
- No service-level agreement. SLAs apply only when an edition reaches GA and you’re on Enterprise Support.
- Things break. We’ll fix them. Don’t run production workloads on Private Preview without an explicit written agreement.
- We may end your access. If you violate these terms or use the product to harm others, we end the engagement. We aim to be clear about why.
Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the website or product to harass, defame, or threaten others
- Reverse-engineer, attack, or attempt to bypass the access gate
- Submit early-access requests with false information at scale
- Send unsolicited bulk email through any contact form
- Scrape the website for data resale
- Train external models on the contents of your Kiri chat sessions in ways that re-identify other users
Your content
If you submit content to The Kirimana Library (community contracts, packs, skills) once that surface opens, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content under the same Apache-2.0 license. You keep ownership.
Intellectual property
- Code: the Kirimana product is Apache-2.0. The website code is Apache-2.0. Fork them, run them, contribute back.
- Brand assets: the Kirimana name, logo, and brand guidelines are NOT covered by Apache-2.0. They remain under brand stewardship of the Kirimana project maintainers. Don’t use them to imply endorsement, partnership, or origin without written consent.
No warranty
The website and product are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement.
The Apache-2.0 license disclaimer applies in full to the product.
Limitation of liability
We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or product. Our total liability is capped at the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which during Private Preview is zero.
This limitation does not apply where excluded by law (e.g. gross negligence, intentional misconduct, statutory consumer rights you cannot waive).
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes go to Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) — except where mandatory law gives you the right to your local court.
Changes
We may update these terms. Substantive changes get 30 days’ notice via email and the website. Your continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
